My husband and I went to see the movie UP tonight. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. We took our son with us, but there were only a handful of kids there, mostly adults. It is a heartwarming love story.

Has anyone seen any other good ones?

I haven't been to a movie theater in years. I want to start a campaign to bring back the Drive In's.

I wait till they hit the dollar theater. I have heard Transformers was good, and of course alot of people are awaiting the new Harry Potter movie this summer.

My husband works in the afternoons theses days/weeks and travels some time and I always say I shall go to the moview and I never DO!!. I may go and watch UP according to your advice...I love heartwarming movies!

Twilight is a good one, my daughter and I watched it the other night. But we like vampire movies. Ross my husband and I were just talking about drive in's the other day, I think they should bring them back! We had such a good time at the Drive In! My daughter was like what???? LOL!

There is also the movie my sister's keeper, and for the little ones the new shrek movie.

Ross we have two (2) drive ins around here that are very good deals.

OH!! And let's not forget the new movie coming out MOST WANTED. It's supposed to be really good!

We are actually going to a nearby drive-in July 3rd for a Sci-Fi night. The new Transformers movie is playing first, then the new Star Trek and then the new Terminator movie. We don't go there often but this line up, for $8/person, is too good to pass up.

We are really looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie out on the 15th. Also, The Time Travelers Wife in August and 2012 in November. We have already seen the new Star Trek movie and Angels and Demons - both great.

Haven't seen Up yet but still might as well as the new Ice Age movie due out next week - love that little squirrel character. Great line up of movies this year.

My granddaughter(14) and 2 of her friends went to the movies Friday night. usually we pick them up and they can't tell you what movie they saw. Friday night they saw my Sisters Keeper and was able to tell us everything about it. They said they cried about ten times. They also said their were no boys watching it and that was probably why they saw the whole movie for once. The joys of teenagers.

I hope you have been keeping your guns cleaned. :D:D

You said it Ross..I just loved the drive-ins,as a kid and an adult. Hard to
believe there are whole generations that have never experienced them.
I used to love those steamed hot dogs and hamburgers wrapped in foil.
You wouldn't believe the last drive in I went to...I unknowingly went
to a lite porn with a friend of mine:eek: It was called "Flesh Gordon" and it
was hilarious. When we pulled in to buy the ticket we just couldn't figure
why the ticket salesmen gave us a strange look. 'Guess he was wondering
what two 20 year old girls were doing at a skin flick:D We laughed for years
over that one!

I never go anymore. I can't understand what they are saying unless I can see their faces and read their lips. My hearing is bad even with an aid. Wish i still could go to the movies. I wait for them to come in at the library and get them, with closed captioning of course.

Love Harry Potter too.
I also read The Time Traveler's Wife, and really enjoyed that one,it should
make a good movie. Would like to see Angela and Demons too.
Sounds like we would make great movie-going partners:)

You should call your local theatres. Some offer devices for hearing impaired. One of our local theatres have special glasses that somehow create closed captions. Some have earphones that have volume adjustments.

I just saw UP in 3D,,such fun. There were only 2 other adults and 1 child there. I am so hooked on the 3D movies. I love to go there on a hot afternoon and escape into laughter. Last 4th of July I was at the movies when my defibrilator went off 2 times and saved my life. No more since my new valve. It is expensive,,but I'm worth it! I sneak in a bottle of water and some grapes.
