I saw my cardio today at 14 months post op. He has been keeping a close eye on me and has had me in every two months post op and then finally made it three months this time. I was a bit nervous going in as I feared he was watching closely for a-fib or even regurg of the valve. He has done two echos since my surgery.

Had an ekg today and thankfully in sinus rhythm and he told me the ekg was good....for me. It was 'my normal'.

And best of all, I knew he was satisified with my condition as bp was just where he wants it, he heard no regurg and doesn't want to see me now for six months.

After all my heart history, this is a big relief for me.
He'll do another echo and I'll see him after to discuss it.

We have plans with friends for dinner tomorrow night and I plan to celebrate. I think I've been holding my breath just a bit waiting to see him ease off.

Thanks, everyone. I was a bit concerned about a-fib so it is a sigh of relief.

Gorgeous day here today with bright sun and 80 degrees. A real treat for us in Boston.
And, yes..... I plan on red wine and chocolate tonight and some laughs and relaxation with DH and our friends. :)

Today I smile!

Difference is my other heart history aside from my valve and seeing as I have tissue valve, I'm not on ACT.

Sounds terriffic, keep up the good work. Have fun celebrating.
