Biolife has given me 30 sample packets of Nosebleed QR. If you look at their website www.biolife.com you will find that a 2-pack of this product sells for $7.99 plus shipping. This sample has one application and a coupon for $1.00 off when you purchase a two pack.

Now here is the deal - there are over 1200 members on this site so I do not want to be flooded with requests that I cannot fill. If you want one of these you Must do the following.

1. Send me an e-mail so that I can give you a number.
2. Send a printout of my reply showing the number along with $2.00 (cash only) to cover my postage and envelope, to me by snail mail and I'll send you the stuff the same way.

IF YOU SEND A CHECK, MONEY ORDER, GO THROUGH PAYPAL, OR DO NOT SEND YOUR NUMBER, THE MONEY WILL BE CONSIDERED A DONATION TO MY WEBSITE AND NO PRODUCT WILL BE SENT.

If you don't think that you can trust me for $2.00 then don't do anything. I'm doing this as a service and don't want to be running to the bank with $2.00 checks or having PayPal deduct a sizable percentage.

My e-mail address is [email protected]

your opinion???

your opinion???

Hi Al,
Obviously, I don't want you to send your samples all the way over here, just wanted to ask your opinion on them (if you are allowed to give it?).
I was looking on their website and if what they say is true then it may be worth be getting some of their products direct from them for Chloe (particularly for cuts), 'cos she absolutely panics at the sight of any blood on her - not a great thing to be afraid of when you take warfarin!
Thanks
Emma

I have had some samples before that I gave to people in my clinic. Those who used them said that it worked line a "miracle". I suggested that they change the name to Miracle but they didn't think that it would get FDA approval.

I should have added that I can't send the packages out of the US for $2.00.

They do package it a different way without a nasal applicator. It is called Urgent QR. As far as I know it is the same thing.

LOL, no Al, i don't mean i wanted you to send them to me - I'm sure there are people that need them much more than us! I was just wondering how good the things are - cos I'm sure I've seen smiliar things over here and anything is worth a try with Chloe when she cuts her knees. May be worth looking into. Thanks for the advice

For EXTERNAL cuts I've found two products of interest.

AL Lodwick: Your comments on either or both of these products would be of interest to many of us.

#1 - NICK RELIEF was found locally (at Walmart)
Active Ingredient: Aluminum Sulfate 45%

The package claims:
- Stops Bleeding Fast
- Sting Free
- Ideal for razor nicks and minor cuts

Manufacturer:
American International Industries, Los Angles, CA 90040
Trademark: Clubman see www.aiibeauty.com

#2 - BLEED-X

I've not been able to find this product locally but it can be purchased over the internet.

'AL Capshaw'

Aluminum Sulfate will work. It is quite acidic and will probably sting.

I've had a lot of questions about Bleed-X. I think one of the members her bought some but that is about all that I know.

The people in my clinic who have tried Nosebleeds QE say that it works like a miracle.

There have been very few takers. If anyone is interested, I still have some.

I don't get nosebleeds often enough to bother - maybe twice a year.

Another product that's readily available for bleeding from minor cuts is a styptic pencil. They're sold in larger drug stores in the men's shaving department.

No doubt that the styptic pencil works, but it is also pretty acidic and will likely cause a burning sensation in the nose.

Al, years ago we used to use the drug Carafate for topical treatment of some oral ulcers. I don't remember if it was approved for that purpose or not. Do you think it would work on a nosebleed? I've never had a nosebleed but was just wondering.

It is encapsulated in little beads, so I would guess that it would be rather slow dissolving. This was an asset when you wanted long action on the ulcers but probably wouldn't be to useful for a bloody nose.
