A study just published in the journal Evidence Based Dentistry finds that stopping warfarin for routine dental procedures puts a person at about twice the risk for stroke that continuing warfarin does for major bleeding.

Please print my page http://warfarinfo.com/dentalprocedures.htm and discuss it with your dentist. Try not to get your INR below a range that says "local measures". This means extra packing etc. If the dentist won't agree to this get a referral to one who will do it.
