Hi Everyone: I'm having my next stress test done this coming Monday, May 2. First thing in the morning, 8:00. Hope it's as good as last year. I went almost 15 minutes on the treadmill, but thought my legs were going to give out. You know I think that they'd prop you up any old way they can think of as long as they can keep your feet moving. It was last year during the echo that they showed me my BAV. The mitral had mild regurgitation and the BAV was doing fine. So, I'm hoping that I can keep that up for a while. Have a good day all. Wise

Wise,

Good luck with that. I start my cardiac rehab on Monday, too, and so a treadmill is in my immediate future, too. I'm told stress testing probably comes with that at some point. I have spinal stenosis, which makes the treadmill problematic after a while, but I'm hoping an exercise bike is an acceptable alternative.

Cheers,

Bob

Oh Great Wise!
If Tobagotwo isn't busy planning his vacation escape, we're apt to hear his thoughts on STRESS TESTS!
It's one of Bob's pet peeves. ;)
Just when things were starting to settle down around here!! ;)
Maybe he'll miss your thread (cross your fingers)! :D :D

Well, I had my stress/echo done yesterday. For what it's worth, I did very good they say. I supposedly broke their record for the length of time on their treadmill (not my idea). I lasted 16:05, which was really about 1 1/2 minutes after reaching my target heart rate of 145. The echo tech said my bicuspid aortic valve isn't very thick nor stenotic. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones and not need surgery! My cardio thinks I will at some point. We'll see.

WOW!

I guess you won't have any problems on our Fermilab hike :D :D
