I received a new electric shaver and just started using it recently.
After using it a few weeks I was getting black on my face, as if someone smeared ashes on my face.
So today I called Remington and asked about this.
The first thing he asked is if I was on blood pressure medication or Coumadin.
He told me although they have no medical evidence to back this up, all the people both men and women who complained about this had the same thing in common.
They all were on blood pressure pills or Coumadin.
I never heard of such a thing and it never happened before in the almost eight years Iv'e been on Coumadin.

What kind of metal is in the part of the razor that touches your face? I know that silver and gold (10K) both will turn me black at times. It seems to be associated with hormones, which I always assume to be a lady problem, but perhaps the hormones in men's bodies will also react with the metal? This happened long before I was on blood pressure medicine, so it couldn't be that.

Some people get a reaction to nickel which turns their skin dark. I'm betting it's the metal they used. I think the nickel reaction is not too uncommon.

Mine usually turns red if it's blood. Rich are you sure your not a little "different"? :D

Interesting since the instructions for warfarin almost always say to use an electric razor.

I can't wear metal-rimmed glasses because they eat away the skin where they touch my face. I didn't think it was hormones but the amount of acid of the skin. Hormones sounds more feminine - acid sounds more masculine!!

You could grow a beard.
