Still no news!!

Here it is Wednsday and so far we still have not heard from the results of the bone marrow biopsy. Still time today to hear from the surgeon and hopefully I will go for surgery on Friday.

Someone mentioned that waiting for surgery feels like slowly walking in front of a Mack truck waiting to be hit. Well after being in the hospital, having the cath done and other tests, and then sent back home to wait some more, feels like being grazed by the first one and turning around waiting to be hit by the second one.

Man this sucks!!!!

I will let everyone know when I hear something!

Don't even bother turning around, it'll hit you no matter what.

One thing I've learned, even though the waiting sucks, all this delay stuff happens for a reason. Don't question the reason, just enjoy the extra time until you get run over.

Sorry about your wait but if something else needs correcting to be sure you're in the best shape for surgery then this wait is well worthwhile. I hope everything is soon straightened out for you.

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone!!

I called the surgeons office today, still no results on the tests. Now it looks like I will have to have a different surgeon, Dr. Marelli is leaving the group and this week is his last.

Man, what next??

Well, looks like I need to be put back on the waiting list. My original surgeon is now gone. Got a call from the new surgeon's nurse to make an appointment to visit with the new surgeon, next Friday. So I guess it would be safe to say "Who the heck knows when the surgery will be done".

Oh ya, noone can seem to come up with the results of the bone marrow biopsy results either.

Hi Kelly-

So sorry you're having to go through all this. It's awful waiting around and you don't have a clue.

Here's a thought for you. You know that hospitals, doctor's offices, and any other medical thing is afterall a business. Most businesses try to get the "high" numbers in before the year's end, and this is a sort of slack time of the year for these kinds of things. So you might be scheduled sooner than you think, especially with a new guy on board. I'll hold that thought for you.
