Well, we are still at the hospital, but getting lots of tlc and
feeling encouraged as to the threat of infection. Bill's rhythm
still isn't converted, goes back and forth. Cardiologist will let us
know the plan tomorrow. Did any of you have trouble sleeping
while in the hospital? I mean, beyond the fact they won't let you
alone. He is wide awake. Am wondering if the heart is working
so much better that he is not demanding a lot of sleep.
I thank God for you guys. I get encouragement reading your posts.
Thanks for takinig the time to be there for others.;)

Sleep is practically nonexistent following surgery. That is normal. It about drove me nuts because I was tired, but my mind and body would not stop. I made a few nurses mad too, but what can you do.

I woke up about every 20-30 minutes at night while in the hospital. Did it for the first 2-3 weeks after leaving, too.

Have you asked about something to help with sleeping? Don't know how that will affect anything else (heart function, any meds).
