Hello Tex and welcome.
The middle section of my scar has a couple of wires that are right there, just under the skin. I really don't like it at all.
Maybe me being thin and feeling it doesn't help.
Well, I hope your surgeon is understanding....let us know.

Hi, no its just to see the doctor, i saw him about a month ago when he told me about the wirw, but i was very low at the time, very weepy, not eating, just generally down, no with the aid of tablets i am feeling better, and i just want the wire out now, it will be a problem less, i also have a high pulse rate i was surposed to start cardic rehab 2 weeks ago went but couldnt join in as my pulse rate was 107 and you cant join in if your pulse rate is higher than 100. so im also having that looked into wed i have to go and have a monitor fitted for 24 hours, i havent got aclue what they going to do about this, it just one thing after another.

Hi to you, Tex,

I hope things will get clearer on Wednesday. Luckily, the medicine has so much advanced that there is almost a relief for anything...could your heart beats be due to your anxiety about the wire and the removal process?

Good luck again.

Hi Eva, yes im sure that has something to do with it, it just seems to be one thing after another
Thanks to everybody for your help i wish i had found this web site before i had my heart valve surgery.

I had all of my wires removed 5 years out. One was really hurting, causing scratching and bruising under the skin, but surgeon said others were misplaced as well. It's not a big deal, except if you are mechanical, you need to do Lovenox. Bruising was amazing. Other than that I was back at work the next day (with a bit of Vicodin!).

Tex, It is frustrating and disappointing when things go wrong...I feel the same way sometimes when I feel something strange in my heart or left arm. But we should not allow these incidents take over the joy of being alive and healthier.

Lisa's pm is very reassuring and comforting and I hope this will be the end of your problems and you start enjoying your healthier self agani.

Glad you found us ... I too wished I found this website way before my surgery...but 'better late than never'. There is a right timing for everything.:)

yes, a bunch of members have had wire problems. some had all of them out and some only one or two. ILoveNY was one of our first - she was hospitalized overnight for the removal of hers. I also seem to recall that Ben had some out, as well. Nobody has ever had anything bad happen with the removal - that they mentioned in VR.

I can't imagine you're real excited about this Tex, but the good news is now you know what the problem is and what needs to be so you can move on and feel better. Keep us up to date.
