I read the report the echocardiogram sent to my cardiologist said. In it, it stated that my heart's diastolic's function is pseudonormal (stage 2). I am 40 and have a bicuspid aortic valve with 2-3+ regurgitation and dilated ascending aorta (3.7 from 3.0 four and a half years ago)

Anyone know what that means?

Thanks ,

Rick

Basically, your heading towards surgery, but your not quite to the point of needing it done now. They need to be checking you every 6 months to a year.

Thanks Ross. I have read through many posts on this site and understand parts of the reports because of it.

The part I dont understand is "diastolic's function is pseudonormal (stage 2)". Do you or anyone else know specifically what that refers to? What does it mean?

Rick
