On the 17th of March, we are ALL Irish. We have an Irish member - here's good wishes. Bet you have one, too.

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

Count your health instead of your wealth;
Love your neighbor as much as yourself.

My granddaughter was born on St. Patricks day. She turns 7 tomorrow. Her name is Savannah. She lives in Tennessee. I sent her a St. Patricks Brithday card and a St. Patricks green stuffed bear holding a shamrock. She is my Irish blessing.

Made my Irish bread yesterday with no sodium baking soda and powder, of course, and no salt. My recipe calls for caraway seeds and raisins which may not be the norm, but that's the way my Irish oldsters made it, and the way I grew up.

Had it for breakfast this morning, it was delish.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all !!

Being Irish (all year long not just tomorrow), I have my green clothes all ready to put on.

I Am Definitely Celebrating!!!

I Am Definitely Celebrating!!!

St. Patrick's Day Blessings To Y'all

"A little bit of heaven fell
From out the sky one day;
It nestled on the ocean
In a spot so far away."

"When the angels found it
It looked so sweet and fair;
They said, "Suppose we leave it?
It looks so peaceful there."

"So they sprinkled it with stardust
Just to make the shamrocks grow;
?It's the only place you'll find them
No matter where you go."

"Then they dotted it with silver
To make the lakes so grand;
And when they had it finished,
They called it ... "IRELAND!"

Happy St. Pat's

Happy St. Pat's

Me St. Paddy's day is complete now that Billy's checked in. Best of everything to all the Irish out there (that would be everyone). Be sure to plant your potatoes.

Bad joke for the day...

Paddy decided to visit his relatives in the States for St. Patrick's Day. As the plane gained altitude after take-off, the stewardess gave him a couple of pieces of chewing gum and told him that they'd help prevent any problems from the change in air-pressure making his ears hurt.

As they began to descend for landing he called the stewardess over and asked her how to get the wads of gum out of his ears now.
