Woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow and it was still snowing. On my calendar Spring started yesterday.:( :( :(

What is going on with this weather?

Hope everyone affected by this storm is doing OK. Be safe all.

Our first day of spring consisted of cold wet weather(they did get the Nascar race in finally). I got no sleep last night because of the thunderstorms. Its suppose to be in the 30s at night and 50s for a high for the rest of the week. I watched my granddaughters soccer games in 30 and 40 degree weather Saturday.

Ours here in Colorado consisted of a major snowstorm that closed every road out of Colorado going east to be shut down. But we're welcoming it - winter wasn't too white around here.

PamO:It is time for me to use those frequent flier miles and head to CO. One more time in the trees before the big event....Thats it!! my excuse!...do you think it could fly? I wish I could get away from work and do so!! Estes Park? Aren't you close enough to Vail, Steamboat and others for day or weekend trips? Perhaps if all you VR's would lobby in my behalf my wife would grant me a special pass? PamO we have another VR person in Estes Park do you know each other.

This has got me thinking...Next years reunion in Vail or Steamboat in the winter?
Two of you are there and I know I could make a reunion in ski country.
Now a question for all you skiers taking Coumadin: How Conservative will I have to be after AVR? Can I just start wearing a helmet and ski slow and conservatively in the trees and be ok? or am I resigned to groomed blues? Please tell me I can still be just a little adventurous.

For the others with snow and cold weather enjoy it while you can. Spring has bypassed New Orleans, Summer is here! I will put the boat in the water and make my 2006 water skiing debut this weekend then be prepared to spend he remainder of the weekend recovering but I WILL HAVE FUN!

Terryj...I just saw on the local Atlanta news, some big NFL players house was hit by lighting last night in Atlanta. We were lucky that the storms went East of Atlanta...Just cold rain here for 2 days. sun did come out a few hours ago, but I heard the same thing. Cold for next 6 days.but I think not freezing... Nothing like our members North of us.. We welcome the rain...will make the flowers grow when Spring comes again.:D Bonnie

My sister in Rockwall (Dallas) had 8" of rain this weekend. she said there were puddles in their back yard. Hard to believe since their yard runs downhill.

we got some rain last night but the lightning and tornadoes bypassed us and went east.

Today we could use a.c (like Phillip in Nawleens) today. The azaleas, dogwood and bridal wreath are in full bloom. My dear Joe would be so proud of the RED azalea he planted the spring before he left. It has become beautiful and reminds me of him every time I look out the door. Everything has begun to take off and we'll be run over with honeysuckle before you know it. Hate that stuff. Tonight, however, it'll go into the 40s, tomorrow in the 60s and headed for 30s this weekend (nights)! Glad the sweats aren't packed up yet for the summer. What's with this weather.

Spring? What's that?

Here in Chicagoland, it seems we have only 2 seasons ... winter and road construction. Though, of course, if you wait for 15 minutes, the weather will change ... sometimes drastically.....

Our springtime weather has given our daughter and son in law a "room with a view".

Ug, Mary. That's no sun roof.

Ann, the worst of the storms were between your sister and me. Tracked on the north side of Dallas to the northeast. I'm considering a triathlon in Rockwall end of August.

It's 82 and sunny right now here in the Tampa area. But tomorrow we'll have thunderstorms and the daytime temps will drop into the low 70's for Friday and the weekend. The temps at night will be in the 40's. That's downright cold for Florida this time of year. Strawberry time is here as well as the Spring Breakers (the college group). Snowbirds are getting ready to go back north for the summer. Next week will be back up in the mid 80's with sun. That makes us happy as we're moving to Charlotte NC next week. Packers start on Monday. Haven't checked the weather in Charlotte for the end of next week when we'll be moving into our new house there. Hope it's dry, at least. It's a mess to move boxes and furniture in through the rain.:( LINDA

You want to try the UK!

You want to try the UK!

In the summer it's mild, grey, and damp.
In the winter it's colder, greyer, and damper.

If you've never been to the UK, put a telly near the fridge, open the fridge door and stand close, turn the telly colour setting down to just above black and white. And if you are feeling really creative, sprinkle some water on yourself.

Still, at least I don't live in Canada!

Oh... First spring flower in my garden this week. A lovely daffodil.

that's the way it looks outside my door today and tonight it will be 30 dang degrees. This is FLOIRDA, for goodness sakes. But feels like Chris' description of UK.

Even the birds seem confused here in Ohio. The skies are grey, it's cold, it snowed two days ago but the trees are budding and the flowers are trying to come up.

I am going to try that bear thing next winter. I am tired of this and want my California weather back.:( :(

Waa Waa - would you like some cheese with that wine?;) :D ;)

Its suppose to be 33 here in Georgia Saturday morning. 11 year old granddaughter has soccer pictures at 8 and game at 9. 6 year old has pictures at 11 and game at noon. My daughter called to say I did not have to come because of the weather. I wouldn't miss them for anything. But, I will bundle up and take a thermos of hot cocoa. My husband has his first fishing tournament of the year Saturday. They start at safe light, probably 6:30. Maybe warmer weather by next weekend.
