She's a hard gal to track down with all of her room changes, ICU excursions and such. :D Both Ross and I got ahold of her yesterday - it was good to hear her voice!

She sounded good, although clearly still under stress from the surgery, her ICU trip, and pacemaker issues. Wanting to trust that everything is okay, but still a little bit fearful that another setback would rear its ugly head.

With all of that said, if all goes well today (11/13), they are planning to DISCHARGE her! She has a really sweet cardiologist - Dr. Mills (his son lives in Boulder :D :D ) - who has been good to her, and is trying to convince her that she is ready to be discharged. She and Wayne will stay in Cleveland until Sunday, and then make it back to Denver and Estes Park.

Hopefully, that will give her the rest she needs to make the flight. She says that she still feels pretty weak, but is trying to do her breathing exercises and get walking to build up stamina. I think she will turn the corner before Sunday.

Send good thoughts Wayne's way too - as you all know, being the caretaker is equally stressful!

Hey Melissa,
Thanks for the update. Sounds like she is on the road to recovery now. Let her and Wayne know they are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

She's a very funny person. I told her to stop worrying, that everything there was to worry about has passed. Now it's time to start looking forward to getting home and recovery. She'll do just fine as soon as she stops being petrified that somethings going to go wrong. I haven't lied to her about any of this surgery, so hopefully she'll heed the advice.
