We haven't seen our warfarin guru and friend Allodwick in 2 weeks.

Hope it's because of a nice relaxing vacation!

Like Karlynn .Ann..I pulled up his profile..Last Activity..2 weeks ago? Like Geebie..I hope they are both out enjoying vacation..:) Sometimes, we active members wonder? When active members do not post.. We worry..like when I had to leave..suddenly..Was in my Daddy's hospital room and Ann found me on my mobile phone a week later......she was kind enough to post for me..and I was so happy to read all the good things..Praying for my Daddy.:) when I returned home..Like Evelyn posted that she would be away for awhile..moving..then we don't worry.:) Bonnie

I noticed we haven't heard from Jacqui (Eirecara) lately either, although I think it may be because she's still settling in after moving. That said, I do wonder sometimes because of all the health challenges she and her son have had.

Hi Wayne....Thank you so much for even noticing that I wasnt around, that makes me feel so grateful that I know such nice people on this site.

Iv posted a new thread about some of whats happening us right now, but its GREAT to be back online.

So it looks like our missing members have been accounted for. That's good!

I'm alive and well and haven't had time for a vacation.

My Medicare starts 9-1. I'll be 65 on 9-11.

I'm going to retire from the warfarin management end of things as of December 14.

After that I am going to concentrate on teaching health-care professionals how to manage warfarin. I have been developing some new classes along these lines.

If anyone has a question, they should e-mail me. I'll always answer questions.

Thank you for all you have taught us here about warfarin & anticoagulation therapy! If only we could clone :D you and you'd be spread out all over the world to teach every health-care professional.

I echo all these sentiments!!!!!! You are THE BEST!

You all know the man is going to say, "No, thank all of you" but I too have to echo the two above. I ain't ready to let you go to relax in a hammock sucking on bloody mary's and whistling at the nice younguns in bikinis.

Ross, this is important news. Should it go into a thread of its own?

Al, you know how important you are to this site and members thank you and appreciate you. Will you drop in some?

We really don't want you to leave us, but at the same time wish you all the very best in your new venture. Retirement is awesome but you may find yourself busier than ever. Blessins........

One of the most intelligent guys I have ever met!

One of the most intelligent guys I have ever met!

Al Lodwick...where do I start? Had the fortunate pleasure of listening to one of his talks in person! Also meeting him afterwards and chewing the fat:p Or was that the possum Bonnie sent to the reunion? Nonetheless, valued member of VR.com.

Please continue to stop in now and again. You would be missed my friend!

Congratulations Al on your upcoming retirement. You will do well to continue teaching and anything else to keep your brain active. I tried full retirement for two years, travel, golf, etc. and it got old fast. Going back to work 0.5 FTE saved the day for me. I have to use my head and am surrounded by bright young people. Warm regards Marty
