Does anyone know of a really good spam filter. I have been using "I Hate Spam" (paid version) for a couple of years now, but lately it is not doing the job- I get more and more spam and the only things it seems to catch are real emails.

I've been using MailWasher Pro for a couple of years or so.

My normal spam input is at least 50 a day across various email addresses. It works in a different way to a lot of the spam filters in that it accesses the mail servers and downloads only enough of the message to decide if it's spam. The junk can then be deleted from the server without ever really touching my machine. Even if it's not strictly spam, but just something you know you don't want, you can flag it for deletion.
You get to see and OK all its decisions and it does learn as it goes along. I've been very happy with it - your mileage may vary...

Thanks, I added the site to my favorites and will take another look at it soon. I also run Zone Alarm so I made sure today that all the "I Hate Spam" files have access there under program control and I downloaded the "I Hate Spam" again as I noticed that some of its features (such as options) were not working. I will test it for the next few days and if it's still not working I will try Mail Washer Pro.

Mailwasher Pro is about the best there is. The big problem is that spammers are finding ways to go around everything. No matter what you do, your going to get a certain amount of spam anyhow. Even Hank and I do on this server!

Thanks for the link to MailWasher Pro. After all these months I finally got around to downloading the free trial and I love it. My "I Hate Spam" runs out this month, so I will definitely be purchasing the MailWasher.
