I'm having another mysterious episode of muscle scoreness and pain throughout my neck, collarbone and ribcage. I'm close to 9 months post-op for my AVR and even though I had the minimally invasive procedure performed, I still have these occassional episodes of dull aches and pains.

I'm wondering if the crazy, cold and wet Chicago weather from this past week has anything to do with it. I can usually blame over exercising, etc. however I can't for this latest episode. I've been taking it pretty easy.

Frustrated...

Hi Allen,

Usually I feel pretty rotten when a new front moves through the area. We had an opportunity to live down south in TN for 4 years and all that pain went away. Moved back....and boom here it is again.

Hopefully it's nothing more than a little weather related ache for yourself. Have you been spending any time outside? West Nile has been reported already in the area. Give your doctor a call if you do not improve. Especially if the neck stiffness presists.

Take care.

Yep. I definitely think the weather has something to do with it. Especially the dampness we experienced earlier last week. Today the sun came out and the temperature rose near 70 degrees and the dull ache goes away. Again, this wasn't a sharp shooting pain or anything to become alarmed about, simply a dull ache throughout my shoulders, neck etc. earlier in the week.

I know with the West Niles report, it did cross my mind as I do try to spend a lot of time outside.

*sighs*

Sadly, my "dull pain" increased today....

But, I did get out...went to church...and drove my "baby girls".....

*sighs*

I so hope this "dull pain" isn't the leaking coming true...lol.

Sorry to hear the ache is still there. I read your other post regarding your frustration on the last check up. Good luck. I hope your primary cardiologist has some straight answers. Nothing worse than going to the doctor and coming home with more questions than what you went in with....

Allen...thank you :). And, yeah, I strongly dislike coming home with more questions than I had before I went in....lol...irony rocks ;).
