I mentioned i was a nurse. I work in a nursing home as Assisitant Director of Nursing. My Medical Director Dr. Bradshaw is also a hospice doctor. We have been friends and worked together for 15 years. She had one of the hospice chaplains come to see me today at work., not our usual guy. He introduced himself and proceded to lift up his shirt and show me his chest. He underwent OHS 5 yrs ago we talked for over an hour and prayed together. It was amazing and just what I needed. The out pouring of support from everyone I know has been wonderful. I tell everyone I talk to about this forum and how much it is helping me cope. I truly feel blessed to have so many people in my court. Thank you all.

This kind of immediate support concerning some pretty tuff issues is invaluable. It's amazing how much both newbies and oldies can learn. I have learned much about some issues that have puzzled me for a long time. I also think it is neat to converse with people, around the world, with the same issues. Count your blessings that you have support like this at your fingertips......it wasn't always this way:wink2:.

Barb, that doesn't sound sappy at all, and I think most of us feel that way. I only wish I had found it sooner than one month before my surgery.
Judy, I'm glad you found us. The support does mean a lot.
