Son lost a friend

Another Sheriff's Deputy..that he had worked with for 12 years..Friend was responding to a 911 call..lost control of his policecar..over-corrected and went down hill..Admitted to hospital with minor injuries....Was sitting up and talking with the sheriff, family members on Sunday ..died of a cardiac arrest at 1 a.m...He was age 38 with 4 small children.Local paper said, it was the first Law Enforcer in that county who had died from being on active duty. Large county..outside of Atlanta..... son attended funeral yesterday with a very large attendance of many Law people all over Georgia.They all share that closeness..........Also, just heard over news a 14 year old boy died trying out for basketball. Heart disease has no age....Happens in the young, too....Bonnie

Deaths like your son's friend are always so tragic and hard to comprehend. I'll keep the family in my prayers.

Bonnie, that is so sad. When my oldest son was in college his roomate drowned while on home over Thanksgiving vacation. Since then he has lost other long time friends and I feel so bad because I know how it hurts. I'm sorry your son is hurting now too.
