Well, I can tell ya. I didn't work my ass off for 25 years raising 3 brilliant children just to have their world fall apart. Mayans or not, I'm working harder each day to keep the planet livable by recycling more, pre-cycling more, driving energy efficient cars, buying energy efficient appliances, etc. etc. I mean cripes... when are some of your states gonna get off their butts and get a bottle bill going so that all the beverage containers won't go into your landfills. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Bottle_Bill

The Oregonian had a graph, today, on world population predictions. Wow. That's gonna be a tough one. 2007 = 6.7 billion, 2015 = 7.3 billion, 2025 = 8 billion, 2050 = 9.2 billion. Did the Mayans forsee this?? Is that why they used to throw their virgins into the boiling cauldrons of volcanoes? (or was that the Aztecs or the Incans?)
