So excited but not valve related.

I just found out that my all-time favorites series of books is being made into big budget, live action movies. I am a huge "Chronicles Of Narnia" fan (have been since I was 10) and have waited since then for a "real" movie. The first book "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is due out on December 9. They are already casting the second book "Prince Caspian". The trailer looks fantastic and the CG seems to be awesome. I don't think they could really do the series justice until now (there have been a few attempts that were not very good).

I am so very excited about this and those of you who are C.S. Lewis fans will understand. Others should like the movie also but diehard fans are delighted.

Just wanted to share my enthusiasm. Sorry to be off the valve topic but............... :D :D ;)

My kids grew up playing the PBS versions of the Narnia Chronicles over and over again. Both are looking forward to the first release.

I'm anxious to see the new remake of Pride and Prejudice that opens in November.

How very cool. I remember having those books read to us at school when I was little. I loved them then and still love them now. I can't wait. My boys haven't read them yet but I am sure they will love the movie!!

Sorry Ross - I didn't think I might trigger a "double-meaning" something with the thread title. ;)

Did get you to read it tho, didn't I?

I've always loved C.S. Lewis and this will be a movie I look forward to seeing.

Another series of books I'd love to see depicted in a well done movie would be the Diana Gabaldon books.

I can't think of a time where I was more excited about a movie release. Not Star Trek or Star Wars or Jurassic Park or even Lord of the Rings were higher on my list than this one (or any more that will hopefully come along). This is the BIG one for me (maybe like Gone With The Wind was in the 30's. I am also interested in seeing the movie of The Time Traveler's Wife but, since Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston bought the rights together, who knows if that will every happen.

You all know where I will be on Dec. 9, 2005. :D :D :D
