I heard my brothers and sisters above the Mason/Dixie line..will get lots of snow this weekend. Even down into N.C.? I guess you Pennsylvania people ordered it to freeze my Atlanta Falcons Sunday.. :p :p :p Stay warm..Go Falcons.. :D Bonnie

Bon no offense, but hush up! Were supposed to have 4 to 6" of white junk coming. I've had enough of winter. Spring and Summer are more then welcome to begin any day now.

Bonnie,
We have 6 inches on the ground and are expecting 4-6 more tonight into tomorrow.
If PA ordered it - I send curses their way :) although I don't know why I am complaining since I'm too sick to go out anyway.
Oh well - may the best team win!!

They are telling us 6-12". Kind of a fine line, don't you think  :p
Should have asked my card if it's ok to clear the snow. Have done it a few times in the past. It's a little more stringent than a work out....but overall, not too bad.

They're waffling between 6"-10" for us. It's a good weekend for the fireplace. Brought some firewood inside, so I won't have to dash barefoot in the snow for logs.

Figures the snowstorm would happen on the weekend, instead of on workdays. Fie!

Best wishes,

*coughs*

Umm...that'd only be Eastern PA people. Those on the West end onlly care about beating a team a bit farther up north ;).

As for snow, like Gina M mentioned....6-12" around here...and, as of now, my car is already completely white....lol.

We are gonna get blasted here in NH

We are gonna get blasted here in NH

They are talking 12 inches + for us here in NH...I Agree with Ross completely, that spring and summer are more than welcome to arrive anytime now..LOL Harrybaby666 :D  :D

I just took a stroll down memory lane to the blizzard of 1978. It was about this time in January that this incident occurred. I think we can all thank our lucky stars that it isn't that bad this time!

True...Although...

True...Although...

I have been hearing on the news that there are Blizzard warnings out for the whole state of Massachusetts....Gosh, I hope that don't run over to up here... :D

My boss decided yesterday(Friday) that we would be leaving an hour early from Chicago, to catch the train home to Cary. We got into Cary about 6:00pm and it was just starting to snow. I woke up this morning and I can't even open my front door. Local Weather station said we received 12+ in Crystal Lake which is about 10 minutes away from me. The weatherman said we could get up to another 6 inches from Lake effect snow, though I don't think we'll get that much more since were about 55 miles away from the lake. The other determining factor is the winds are suppose to pick up to 30-40mph this afternoon. The snow is light and fluffy and will drift like crazy. Just called the guy who plows my driveway(for a reduced rate , thank you, as he knows I don't have a lot of money) and he'll be here about 10:00am. Got to get outside and at least get my car cleaned off so he can plow me out and then dump the snow towards the back of the house. I too wish it would have happened during the week. It would have been nice to have a snow day from work! :D

It still isn't as bad as the storm of 1967 was when we 23 inches, I believe in 36 hours. I hope everyone stays warm and be careful if you're going to try shoveling that white stuff!

We got about 8" last night here

We got about 8" last night here

We haven't had any snow to speak of so far this winter, but we got some last night, (Ray just went out to take care of it all with a bobcat).

I was sure glad we didn't have anywhere we had to be, because the wind was just a-howlin' last night. I'm hoping it won't pick up again tonight, because we have a karaoke gig we have to do about an hour away from us. If nothing else we'll load everything into the 4wheel drive pickup truck.

That's right Bonny...It's a big plot to freeze out the Falcons and finally finally finally finally get to the Superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually it figures that it's snowing cause as they say it's the great equalizer. It's already starting here and they're starting to shovel out the Link for the game. Should be a good one!!!!! The snow is supposed to stop but it's supposed to be in the teens with 40 mph winds. And you can bet everyone with a ticket will show up anyway.

GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Is snow shoveling an isometric exercise? Can I use that for an excuse to make my brother-in-law come over and shovel?

10" and still falling. Cleared what I could. Enough to get the truck out :p. Thank goodness for SUVS! The rest will have to wait  Off to the sled hill :D
