One of our newest members will have his tricuspid valve replaced on Wed. Looking forward to hearing all good results and wishing you the best.

Thanks everyone, I hope I can come back on here after the surgery to share my experience as well as help others through. They will also be fixing a defect I have called a "patent form ovale" sp? I guess it is a small hole between the two chambers that is supposed to close as you grow up. I am 45 (I think I am grown up now) so they will close it with a suture, they said that is real simple procedure.

We'll count on you returning to share your experience and help others- that's the best part of VR.com! Hurry back!

Welcome and good luck with your surgery this week. I had my tricuspid valve replaced in April at the age of 45 with a pig valve as well. I'm sure you'll do fine and you'll be glad when it is all over.

Best wishes as you head into surgery tomorrow. I'm sure it will be 100% successful, and you'll have an easy recovery. Please try to post your experience once you're able.
We'll see you on the other side of this.:)

Thanks to everyone again, tonight I have to go through the pre-op stuff at home, anti bacteria shower and other stuff, need to be there by 6:00am and then I get prepped. Not sure how long it will take they just gave a general 3 to 6 hours for the surgery.
