Hi just wondering if anyone might have an answer for me. I have been short of breath lately not enough that it is real bothersome. I also have been having dizzy spells and my feet have been starting to turn dark colors on me not completely black.I usually notice it when I sit down and take my shoes off. I also have ben noticing some slight pressure on my chest. I have a artificial heart valve Mitral B-Jork Shiley. I also have problems with a-fib. I take Rythmol, Coumadin, Premarin, Synthroid and Vytorin. I am hoping it is just a sinus infection but I do realize that that can't cause the problem with my feet. I do have a good pulse in my feet. Jusst not sure if this could be serious or not. I think I will make an appointment with my HCP on Monday. Hope someone out there might have an answer for me. You all do such a good job because you have been there and know what is going on. Have a good week-end:confused:

Absolutely contact your doctor. Your combination of symptoms are alarming and you shouldn't try to second guess them in to something like a sinus infection. Maybe it is, but particularly with your B-S valve, you need to get it checked out.

Sandy -

Dark feet?! Call your doctor! My Grandma's heart trouble caused her feet to turn dark and it just got worse and worse over a long period of time. But I don't think it's something to wait on, especially not in combination with your other symptoms. Has your weight changed recently; could you be having heart failure?

When did you have your MVR?

Ah, a search says 1983. This isn't one of those with a possible problem?
yes but all these years I haven't had any problem. It maybe starting?

Don't count any chickens before they hatch. Get in to your cardio asap and work with him to find out what is going on. Best wishes.

No I haven't gained any weight I just know that I don't feel right anymore. I appreciate your answer and I am going to see a Doctor.

I agree with the others,

You NEED to be EVALUATED ASAP,

preferably by a CARDIOLOGIST and your Primary Care Physician.

Your symptoms are ALL consistent with Heart Issues and should be thoroughly investigated to determine the true cause.
