I had a hernia (3) repair done in March of 08. Had 2nd OHS done in August of 08. Had horrible car accident in December of 08. This past week I have been having bad abdominal pain. I think it could be the mesh having come loose and it didnt start to bother me until now. I had a CT scan, was supposed to get the results on Monday but they cancelled my appt and made it for Tuesday. I will take the CD of the CT with me to the surgeons. I HATE to face another surgery. Oh man.

I try not to expect the worst to always occur, but usually end up worrying
over things anyway, and a fair amount of the time it was nothing at all.
Hoping that this is one of those times for you.

I find it so upsetting when you have the results in hand and still have to
wait for them to be read. Years ago the techs would tell us the informal
result, with the understanding that it was not conclusive. Its funny that
out of the many times they did this for me their interpretation was always correct,
and had they not been I still would not have complained since I considered it a favor.

Hoping for good news

Colleen, You will be in my prayers. Try not to jump ahead of things and worry so much. I know thats hard to do with all you've had done but it's behind your control try to think on the positive things. Keep us posted. God Bless! :)

Colleen, you have my prayers. More surgery (or any surgery) is certainly not something we want, but we do what we have to do. My brother had his mesh come loose and it strangulated his colon, so this is nothing to mess around with. I'm glad you got on this quickly.

My new phrase lately is "It is what it is." This is me telling myself that it does no good to fret or stew about things (which I tend to do), but to be proactive about things. And you are being proactive! Good girl!

Surgeon said I dont have any abnormalities, other than the cyst on my liver they found last year, and that the mesh from the hernia surgery held up fine, even though I had the bad car accident. I was relieved! But then, what is causing this pain? I asked him about coumadin, and he said yes it can cause internal bleeding but he didnt see that on the CT. He asked me about my bowel movements and I told him they varied in shape and color from week to week. He told me to see a Gastroenterologist. Ihave appt on 21st. He said the gastro will probably want a colonoscopy...so its mixed news for me. Thanks for all your support.
