That's right, 3 days after his mitral valve repair, he's being discharged this morning. The robotic assisted surgery is wonderful. He's got a 2 inch long incision in his side and a small one in his groin. That's it. If anyone has the opportunity to go either to St. Joseph's in Atlanta or to have robotic surgery, I highly recommend it.

I was at Saint Joseph's for my first AVR and they were awesome there. Who did the surgery? I went back to my original surgeon Douglas Murphy in February to let him know I was in trouble again and he said he only does the robotic surgery now. I can't be fixed that way. I'm glad it has worked out so well for you guys.

Doug Murphy did Ryans surgery. I'm sorry you can't have this type of surgery. I've heard great reviews on almost all the surgeons from family members of patients on this floor though. I hope your surgery goes well.

Great news, glad you are home and wishing you a continude good recovery.
