You are a great example of what valvers can do. I am, I think, past any competitive running events, as my knees just complain too much. I do, however, still crank up the treadmill now and then, and jog a mile or two at my slow pace, just to feel the rhythm once again. Running is addictive, but a good habit to have. Keep it up!

Thank you for posting your results Jim. you are an inspiration. I was an avid runner prior and have been running on the treadmill in cardiac rehab, between 6.0 and6.2. I ran an Atlanta Track Club 5k on Jan 1st in the cold and pouring rain. It was slow but fun and a confidence builder. Now I need to get back to running outside and start trying to improve my time and distance. I'll be 6 months post-op on 8 Feb so I'm still taking it a little slow.

Now this is what I am talking about. I wonder if your mechanical valve gives you an unfair advantage over the mortals who run along-side you. ;) Just kidding. But I did use the same phrase with other runners and competitive athletes with new valves ;)
