I noticed the location of the members is missing from our profiles. Is that a permanent change?

I must say I kinda like having a mental picture of where people live. I can't really say why but......

Is there anything else changed that I just haven't noticed?

I checnged it because I felt that a lot of new members were not filling in that field because they don't want people to know where they are located.

However, I need that information for some geographical reports I am working on.

If a lot of people give feedback wanting it to be visible, I will of course consider changing it to please the masses.

I do agree that, for some reason, this information is helpful in relating to others on the forum. If people aren't interested in providing it, they'll leave it, as you've said. If it can be left in, that'd be great, but I wouldn't be upset if it wasn't. Thanks!

Tough one, Hank. I don't mind having my location show up, and I agree that it's nice to have an idea where people are from.

Any way to make it optional?

Could we start a poll asking for preferences (I would just go ahead but I am not sure I know how or would want to without your OK)? I would like to have locations back but I will yield to the masses. How tough would it be to have it visible for some and not for others?

Nice to know where people are from and see where they might be going to get "re-valved" . I'll give anyone that ask my full address if they want. Of course, you will probably have to stop in town and ask someone where I live. Stop at Reds Pizza and everyone there will be able to tell you how to get to my place .

When we first moved back here (Retired Air Force -- Long Story) we got a card addressed to "Grandma & Grandpa Mitchell" and our route and box number . It got to us OK.

Put the addresses back in or make it optional if possible. Come on Down !!!!
