I am starting to hype the reunion. It has been wonderful to meet so many people from around the country. I'll be in by mid-day on Wednesday so let's start coming up with some ideas for dinner Wednesday night. I spoke with Rain and she should be in by 4 or 5. So, she'll be ready to have some fun too! She's driving 8 hours so we'll have to help her relax. I say, "Tequila"!

Things To Do--We were talking about doing a hike at some nature preserve or park. Does anyone remember the name of it? Maybe, a trip to the Hoover Dam. Rain and I were talking about hotel hoping. We also talked about shopping.

Post some ideas and let's get all excited about this!!

Greg

Hey Greggo,

How ya doing? I think it was called red Rock Canyon? A friend of mines daughter picked us up to go to the Airport that last day we were there and took Carol and I there. We saw the sunset. It was AWESOME up there. Looking forward to seeing you again in Vegas!

Shopping! Sounds like fun! Hotel hopping sounds like fun too! We'll be in hopefully midday too on Wednesday. I think we'll just take a cab from the aorport ater our last experience. The shuttle took an hour and a half to get to Lady Luck because of all the stops we had to make on the Strip to drop people off. We missed you guys for bowling. I was soo disappointed! Since Sams Town is outside, I bet it would take even longer, unless Sams Town has it's own shuttle. I'll have to check into that!
See you and everyone else in a couple of months!

Hi Greg!

Yes, I am very excited about the reunion. I don't arrive until approx 9PM on Wednesday........so maybe we could exchange cell phone numbers and all hook up.

I had looked into a steamboat cruise on Lake Mead at one point. It may be on another link. I am all for shopping and hotel hopping too!

Wednesday afternoon margaritas!!

Wednesday afternoon margaritas!!

Good idea, Gina.... lets start a phone tree again. I still have the list from Golden, so updating it will be a breeze. :) Anyone wanting added, just send me your phone number.

I think everyone would love Red Rock Canyon. They have some great hiking trails and beautiful rocks.... its not that far from Las Vegas and the weather should be great. Do we know how many people are driving this year? I?ll have my car again.

Oh, and Greg.... Maybe we should start the shopping trip at Sam?s Town.... I hear they?ve even got a ?Sheplers?!! :p :D Now there's a store with some long legged jeans.

Reunion Hype

Reunion Hype

This week is reunion hype week... It's over due, but still at that opportune time to be effective.

I will be recovering from a SEVERE sunburn I got on the pacific beach in San Diego for a few days - I am experiencing some extreme pain.

But by Tuesday, I should be good to go.

Plus we have another delimma in our family. We bought a beautiful van (used but new to us) a week ago saturday, tne 48 hours later I totaled it while driving with my son. We are fine, but now have no vehicle and a car payment! Anyone ever had an experience like this that can provide me some advise?

If so, look at the new thread in SmallTalk that I am starting to keep it on topic..

Woo hoo...I'm hyped. :) :) Can't wait to get out there for the very first time, and even better since it's my birthday weekend.

On a more serious note, Hank I'm sorry to here about your van. Hope everything works out.

Tom and I would also be very interested in seeing the Red Rock Canyon. We just saw some pictures of it this past week-end and it looks really beautiful.

Hank, sorry about the van :( .

Hanky,

I had no idea that you were driving the van or that you were in the van. I thought it was just Michelle. Glad you are ok from that. But, now, you have the sunburn! Hank, we need you alive for Vegas. So, watch yourself. Feel better.

As for the hiking trip at Red Rock, I am all for it. Let' wait until we get the weather report and we can decide on Friday or Saturday. We may want to hold off on doing it Thursday so we can get properly organized.

Maybe, we can hotel hop/shop on Thursday. I would like to go for drinks at the top of the Stratosphere on Thursday so maybe we can do that. No rollercoaster for this mechanical valve implantee. I am scared it will get stuck and I'll die before the coaster stops. I plan to die in a long embrace with Carmen Electra or Pamela Anderson not on a rollercoaster!

More stuff

More stuff

Let's do the gift exchange again this year. At least I know about it now so I can bring something from Florida.

Greg

P.S. I did improvisational comedy all around the South Florida area for many years and it would be nice to play some simple games with folks. It would really be a lot of fun. Is anyone getting the suite this year. Janie had the suite last year. Is that hottie doing it again??

Greg

I'm desolate . . .

I'm desolate . . .

We won't be able to make the reunion this year. I do want to strongly encourage all those valvers who are vascillating about going to try to get to Vegas. This is a wonderful group of people and meeting so many folks is great fun.

I trust there'll be lots of pics and stories so I can feel really bad about not being able to go. :(

Hey, in honor of my good buddy, Greg, I'm just trying to keep this thread alive. How do you all feel about the gift exchange? It was so much fun last year (Remember, Hank?). Are you all up for it?

Sounds Good

Sounds Good

The gift exchange sounds great!

Georgia - Sorry you won't be able to make it.

Everyone - Sorry I am behind the 8-Ball on Reunion promotion. I am working on a new VR.com newsletter program and am having to get it all set up, tested and at the same time teach my stupid brain new tricks.

Plus tonight we spent 6 hours at the dealership AGAIN and now we have another van. It all worked out for the better

Reunion promotion is coming! But please feel free to promote away as many will be reading this thread.

You might want to test email out again. If delivery failure is as high as it was for the rules email, that newsletter is only going to make it to about 10% of those it's mailed too. ;)

Oh, Georgia! I will really miss you and Jim. I have always enjoyed visiting with you and sure hope you and your family are doing well.

The gift exchange was so much fun so I'm up for it again.

Hank, I'm glad things are working out with the van. I sure was praying for a happy ending.
