Finally got to talk to the doctor from the coumadin service - 24 hours after I called them ! He asked what I had taken lst night, I said 3 (instead of 2) and he said increase another one through the week, and suggested I test in 2 weeks, I said, no, I am going this Friday - he said fine ! So, basically, instead of 3-2-3-2-3-2-2-test, I will be doing 3-3-3-2-3-2-3-test. I am happy with that, and that we managed to talk it out.

Incidentally, I received a letter Friday for a follow-up appointment on December 14th with this very doctor (guess he just happened to be on call this weekend); I am going to try and change it to the beginning of January as I own and operate a custome giftware store - and hope to really, really busy just before Christmas !

Thanks everyone for your support, you gave me the confidence I needed to stick to my guns !

Sounds like a Good Plan. Glad it worked out for you.

It also sounds like your Anti-Coagulation Doc is 'in tune' and willing to be flexible (within reasonable guidelines). His recommendation comes to a 12% increase which I would characterize as 'moderate', not excessive and not too conservative. Given your increasing activity and falling INR, that sounds just about right to me.
