Hey Everyone,

First thanks for your prayers and thoughts today they were felt. Here is the summary of the day. I started with a chest ray, then pft, spitometery and dlco tests, hemoglobin o2 test, then lab work about 4 blood tests then the meeting with the transplant doctor.

The basic consensus is that he is ready to work me up for the full eval. I have so many of the tests already there aren't really that many left. I believe that there are 4 days of out patient testing which will take place around thanksgiving. He then said he does want to get me listed right away.

I have gone down a little in every area but not terrible. He also wants to get me started on Actimmune! Can you believe it after 18 months I am going to now be put on Actimmune! I am a little afraid but I hear 50/50 bad and good and just have to get through the first 6-8 weeks then the side effects will wear off.

Last but not least, he does not think the aortic reg. Will stop me from getting listed but will talk to the cardiologist. I am supposed to go for another echo on Wed.

Well, that is all. We are both really tired and Randy was an Awesome support as usually. Plus we walked miles and miles or at least it feels like it today.

Again Thank you so much for all your support I guess now the real fun will start all around thanksgiving...how ironic.

God Bless
Lisa

Things are starting to move in some direction huh?

Question: Did you happen to get a copy of your DLCO and PFT tests? I'm curious as to how we compare. :)

Well, at least things seem to be moving along. It's the waiting that kills. I hope all goes well with getting listed and the valve doesn't postpone things. You'll be in my prayers. And if you ever need an "in-person" shoulder to lean on, just let me know. I'll carve out some time to be there!

Niki,

Thanks I apprecite that so so much you have no idea! I won't know anymore for the next couple of weeks. It takes a while to get the insurance to agree the medication is 5000 a month and then there is the 4 days of out patient testing but the big hurdle was the commitment yesterday. I hope the heart thing doesn't get in the way either. The one thing I have learned is that to always expect the unexpected!

Love
Lisa
