Ok, we all know the advantage to a tissue valve is not being on blood thinners, and the advantage to mechanical is not having to do surgery again. My question is, should anyone care to answer...
how many of you with tissue valves have to be on blood thinner anyway(permanantly), or how many of you with mechanical valves have had repeat surgeries anyway? Just wondering while I try to decide...

great question

great question

I look forward to seeing answers. This really is a tough decision isn't it?

That's a great question.

After my first surgery, I did not have to take anything. After my second one, I had to go on low-dose aspirin because they ended up putting a dacron piece to correct my dialated aorta.
