I just received confirmation that my insurance company BCBS of IL will cover some of the cost of a new INRatio Monitor. I am dealing with a company called Reliant Health Care Solutions, and the cost to me is $1,070.89 plus another $1,507.10 if it turns out that BCBS doesn't pay within 90 days, making the total cost, i'm assumeing about $2,577.99

Couple questions, 1. Does this price seem about right?
2. Has anyone dealt with this company?
3. How about new supplies, new test
strips, etc.

I need to fax the Financial Responsibility letter back to them to place the order and wanted to get your input before I do that.

Thanks for your prompt replies.

seems high to me...

seems high to me...

i got my protime about 4 -5 years ago, at most, for about $1200, but i had to pay for it all so they might have discounted it. the cuvettes are not cheap, especially from the company i originally bought it from but ive found another very reasonable source. maybe others with more recent purchasing experiences will have more up-to-date info. -- joe

It is my understading. Also have the same carrier. It should not cost much more than your max out of pocket for the year. As I understrand......if you have met your deductiable...it could all be a wash.
