over the last 10 days i have been getting a red face, bright red nose and cheeks; most of the time my face is my normal white colour but then suddenly it turns red and after a while it is back to normal.

people tell me it looks like i have been in the sun. actually, i can not think of anything that might be triggering as it does not seem to be associated with effort etc

anyone had similar symptoms after ohs? could it be high blood pressure?

please do not tell me it is the booze!

I have had 2 short episodes of this 1 time was after climbing stairs and I
was told that my face turned tomato red, shortly after I became real SOB
with a warm feeling , this all went away within a few minutes.
The 2nd time I was on the phone and I again had trouble catching my breath,
I looked in the mirror and I was pink. It hasnt happened in 2 weeks and I never did find out what it was. But I USUALLY dont have high BP, but this
was one of my thoughts too. I would check it out , I should have done so with mine but it had stopped ,which is no excuse.
Wishing you well,

Iv also experienced this. I woke up one morning with a red/hot face. It last a couple of days if I remember correctly. Never found out what it was. Hope yours clears soon. Best Wishes.

Could be BP...have you had it checked.....booze can flush the face but if that has not been a problem before I doubt that's it....if it continues call your doc.

Things like this require you to put on your Sherlock Holmes hat. When you, all of a sudden, get good valve function, anything about your physiology can change.
This is so true! I always feel like a detective; searching for evidence, ruling
out possibilities, researching ,and always ,always asking questions. Lets
just hope Im a good sleuth. It seems that one needs to be . Most doctors
arent going to take out the time that you would need to solve some of the
symptom puzzles that seem to occur rather frequently-sometimes it will
go away and somtimes not and this is when we need to take it more serious.
I have mentioned before that this is the reason "House" is my favorite show.
which is surprising since I usually dont watch of these shows.
Wishing The Best to All,

Curtis is still pre-surgery but over the last couple of days i have noticed his face and ears are going bright red. So when i read your post i decided to take him to the doctor today, his blood pressure is fine and i feel better for knowing. Hope all turns out well for you too, let us know how you get on.

saw cardiologist

saw cardiologist

.
went to the cadiologist yesterday and had a complete check over and echo etc , he found my blood pressure up at 130 over 90 and said this was not desireable but was to be expected after ohs.

he was adamant my red face was not due to higher blood pressure and said he could think of no medical reasons that would cause the redness.

obviously i am not about to die etc but i never had this problem previously, so what has changed?

i mention this to the gp when i see him
.
