Recent CHEST Guideline Information

Since the new Chest Guidelines emphasize protection from bleeding, then bleeding must be more prevalent than I thought when surgery is required. Epidurals are recommended for some surgeries.

CHEST is the current authority on anti-coagulation so I find it's puzzling that the subject of epidurals hasn't been specifically addressed.

Is everyone swimming in unchartered waters? Possibly with sharks?

Because it's given directly into the spine. If a bleed gets going in there, your dead.
