Since the new Chest Guidelines emphasize protection from bleeding, then bleeding must be more prevalent than I thought when surgery is required. Epidurals are recommended for some surgeries.
CHEST is the current authority on anti-coagulation so I find it's puzzling that the subject of epidurals hasn't been specifically addressed.
