REALLy need info. Can AVR porcine valves take hypebaric chambers??????

Yep AVR St. Jude porcine 4.19.11, Lyme disease tick bite not treated 1997(!!!!?!). Just diagnosed. I got this far??? Weak but know those spirochetes are huge kill off in hyperbaric treatments...nice to havevmy mind back.

BUT... While body cells can take the oxygenation, reverse it by turning on their SOD to get ridvof free radical damage by the oxygen...pig tissue is not live and can't make it's own SOD.
Anyone know if anyone with pig valves can take hyperbaric chambers?:eek2: Michelle class of 2011

The pig valves (and bovine pericardial valves) are dead, preserved tissue. Since they're not living tissue, they're probably not affected by free radicals.

Guyswell, THANK YOU for the hope you just gave me. I was getting my affairs in order next week. Well who doesn't need to(?) but you've given me hope maybe I can live again because having had this (2types-Those ticks can carry five or more) I have fought for so long I just couldn't fight anymore and this is BEFORE treatment which with tons of antibiotics could ruin me, cause arrythmias etc. Nevermind the excruciating symptoms and pain. Andcsomebody cared enough. I've been sick so long people can't take it and walk away. But you stopped and -somebody not paid to care helped me. Little to some, huge to me. May God Bless you for stopping and speaking. I count think and I was a Mensa member... Kinda dumb at present. Thanks again. Michelle
