Crazy!!!

Crazy!!!

Why not try to get him interested in a hobby instead? Honestly though, they say that some couples have a problem adjusting to retirement, especially if the wife is used to having the house to herself all day.
I remember reading the same thing about prisoners of war. Guy goes off and leaves a young dependent wife home. He gets captured and returns a few years later to a different person. The wife has had to make all decisions, wonder if her husband is dead or alive, and is really a changed person.

Antonito is so small that the town went broke and had to disband the police department. Maybe she thought she could get by with it. It is about 3 hours from Pueblo. I drove through it last Friday,

Not one of my patients.

I read many of Agatha Christie's murder mysteries as a teen-ager. Rat poison and arsenic were commonly used to kill off the victims.
Since reading a member's post about the pain she suffered with brain hemorraging, I realize how painful a death that must be.
It seems to be "cruel and unusual" punishment for a husband/wife who's irritating the spouse with their presence.:(

Al, my father lived in Antonito for a time. I understand it's a charming place. I've seen pics. Hm-m-m. Maybe this gal just lived in Antonito too long.

I think this should be fair warning to our spouses! :D :D :D

I have never considered empty, falling-down stores and old gas stations piled high with sand and tumble weeds charming. It must have been a long time ago. There aren't even any mountains except way off on the horizon. I stopped in the grocery store last August to get a sandwich and was about 5th in line. The 4 in front of me used whatever they call those welfare credit cards. There is very little left that provides any cash income. Even the Cumbres and Toltec Narrow Gauge Railroad only operates about 4 months per year.

My wife asked me to not try to kill her. She said that if I ever fix a supper of fried Spam and pickled beets that she will leave pronto.

Sorry, Al - my sarcasm must not have come through. Antonito is a dump; I should have put "charming" in quotes or put a "gag" smily in. Isn't it located in that CO county that has a per capita annual income of about $3?

Vets and INR testing

Vets and INR testing

Years ago some horses were put on warfarin. It was too difficult to regulate--not too surprising and the treatment was discontinued. So some vets used to do it.

It's hard to believe that someone would feed their spouse rat poison but I guess you never know what motivates some people.

She got out on $10,000 cash bond yesterday.

It is not a very efficient murder weapon. The victims usually notice that they have a nosebleed.

Even people who try suicide with it give up and go to the ER. It is discouraging to just sit and watch blood trickling out of your nose waiting to die.

I think that Conejos county is the 2nd poorest in Colorado. Costilla right next to it is the poorest. Even the hospital went under.

I think I used some warfarin that was originally prescribed for my sister inlaw's cat. I think he was on it for over a year.:D Brian
