I want to wish Rob the very best as he undergoes AVR this week.
I am confident that it will go well, and he will be on the road to recovery in the blink of an eye!
We'll be waiting for an update.
God Bless and Godspeed

Best wishes, Rob for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. Godspeed!

Thank you all very much.
I appreciate the support this board has shown my wife and I since joining. We have both been praying all along for you too.

I'm still a little nervous but I'm ready. They moved my surgery from 7 AM to noon so I am going to get out and play four or five holes of golf before I proceed to the hospital Wednesday morning. Just for the story!

The course I play is pretty flat and I ride a cart! I?m sure mother bear or one of my oldest sons will be with me just to make sure I don?t jump ship.

Once again, we appreciate your prayers and good wishes, see you on the other side.

Rob

Mary,
Thank you so much for starting this thread. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate your warm wishes for Rob. Being thought of on such a difficult day and knowing that prayers are going out for you sure does make things a little bit easier to deal with. He is an amazing person who will face adversity with a smile and defeat it.
Again, thank you to you and to all who have taken the time to post in support of Rob's surgery.
Sincerely!
Nancy~

Love, prayers and thoughts of you both this week.
It's such a hard time waiting until surgery...often a roller coaster of emotions, but they are all normal. Hang in there, and I look forward to hearing your posts from the 'other side'.

Hugs,
Yolanda

Hello Yolanda....
All I can say is...that's me! I have been a bit of a basket case hoping that Rob is well taken care of. He will be, I am certain of that, but I am an over protective wife and my expectations sometimes can be way too high.
He is the rational one right now...is that normal? In my house, I guess it is...
Thanks again to all for the prayers and well wishes.
Nancy

Nancy you remind me of my wife. You may need to step in and take charge with the medical personel at the hospital. While I hope this isn't the case, it's great to know someone will if they must. Rob certainly has good back up.

Rob....I want to wish you the best....you will be through it before you know and moving on with a newly fixed heart.....it is not as bad as you might think.....Godspeed:)

Rob and Nancy,

I well remember the morning I went in for surgery. Walking through the doors was one of the hardest things I've ever done and having the support of the valve replacement community was a Godsend.
I can only speak for myself, but I believe Phyllis would concur, that starting the surgery threads is my privilege. It allows me to feel a real connection with the member and their family, and it always reminds me of my own journey.
So please try to relax; 1400 members have your back and will be with you in spirit when Wednesday noon arrives.:)

Hey Rob,

Best of luck.

I'm sure you will do very well. You've got a great team of doctors, there.

I'm living proof!

One of the funniest things I remember about the whole ordeal was getting a body shave the morning of my surgery.

When the guy finally finished, he exclaimed. "Geeze, had I known you were like this, I would have brought in my weed whacker!"

Definitely broke up the tenseness of the moment...

We will be looking forward to the good news of your successful surgery (and great golf game!)

I love it Rob- now the only thing you need is a hole in one that morning! Both you and Nancy will be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow and we look forward to all good news.

Have a great game but try not to get too dehydrated, remember, <face=stern> nothing by mouth.</face>

Sending my wishes for a successful outcome and smooth recovery.

Take Heart,
Pamela.
