Questions to ask Dr.

Hi all,
Thanks for your support and help. I have a quick question. On Monday i am going for a second opinion. My main reason for this is to get another experts advice. On Tuesday i am going to see MY cardiologist. My next visit after she told me that she wanted to replace my Aortic and Mitral valves. My question is what questions should i ask both Drs. about my surgery and my valve choice? I have a list of several questions but its hard to remember everything. I am going to take my list with me and be a real pain in the butt with questions, lol. Thanks in advance for your help, inspiration and love. Best wishes, heart felt prayers and much love, Jed

Jed - I had my Mitral Valve Repair and Aortic Valve Replacement with Homograft done three years ago in Cleveland. I think the most important questions are:
- Do I need to get this done now or is it better to wait? I would lean towards getting it done sooner.
- What hospital is the best for my condition and valve type? I would think you might consider Johns Hopkins since it is a top hospital in MD.
- The names of surgeons that are excellent and do this surgery on a daily basis?
