I have a good question to pose here. I was recently told by someone from my healthy insurance company, that grape juice is bad for heart meds. So that is my question if anyone has heard that before, that grape juice is bad for heart meds. Just wanting to know. Take care all. Have a great weekend.

This fruit confusion could be made into a sequel of the John Steinbeck Classic entitled: "The Wrath Of Grapes"

Amiodarone : grapefruit

A "killer" combination.....

Actually, it probably won't kill you per say, but it will make your live rather miserable for a while to say the least.

I swore off grapefruit juice while I was on the evil amiodarone. It was one of the harder things to give up too as I LOVE grapefruit in all shapes, sizes, and varieties...

Grapes have antioxidants and other things that are actually good for your heart and circulation (the addage about drinking a class of red wine every now and then for heart health.) I haven't heard that they can interfere with medications.

When it doubt, ask your pharmacist when you pick up your scrips.
