question to al about blood in urine

HI Al, question for you I woke up this morning to go to toliet and saw alot of blood what does that mean ?and what do I do? I am taking 3mils everyother day on 3rd day 6 I ate some shrimp yesteday is it bad to mix that a my meds chris

HI thanks gina i will have that done asap ! I will go this morning thank you last time i checked my INR was 1.6 this dr i have has no experience in coumadin therpy at all he said that was a good range i said its too low but he would listent to me well its not easy to find a dr when your on medi-cal here in ca im trying chris

Hey Chris,
You should check with the hospitals in your area and see if the have a coumadin or anticoagulation clinic or if they know if any. I agree with Gina, have your INR tested asap.

It doesn't sound to me like your INR is 1.6. I would think your INR would be HIGH if you're getting blood in your urine. After all, wasn't that the old method of monitoring coumadin? "If you have blood in your urine, lower the dose..." Yipes! I hope you get this taken care of SOON. Go to the ER if you have to. Get this taken care of. You need to be active in keeping yourself healthy.

Is the 1.6 from your test what 3 or 4 weeks ago?

I'm betting on a bladder infection myself. You need to see a Doctor and become aggressive about your own health care. No one can do it for you.
