Today I made a complete prat of myself! I do have an excuse mind you. I went to bed at about 1 am, having dozed off in front of the television. There I was all snuggled up in the warm with my book when "BANG!", sheesh I nearly leapt out of my skin, my poor mechanical heart valves were clicking away at a fair rate of knots. What the heck! Heart finally slows once more then "BANG!", again my heart went into overdrive. This happened about every 5 or 10 minutes, I finally got to sleep at about 5am. At one point I seriously considered phoning my next door neighbour to tell them to fix their banging door, obviously it couldn't have been bothering them, well it was banging against MY wall, not theirs.
Anyway, I digress. Today being Monday means that I have to go to the gym for 12 noon. I ate a late breakfast, cut short my chat with a friend on MSN and headed off to the gym. Wow was the carpark full, I cannot remember seeing it so busy. Got into the gym, and wow again, busy, busy.
I took my blood sugar prior measurement to starting to exercise then waited for the exercise referral instructor to arrive as I am not permitted to start without supervision. She is late, not only is she late but so are all the other people in the class. How odd. Then a horrid feeling crept over me - yes, you all spotted it didn't you! I went up to someone's personal trainer and said "Excuse me, but what day is it?" "Sunday".
I felt about 2 inches high, I crept out of the gym, so befuddled that I left my bottle of water behind but then couldn't face going back for it.
What a prat! Oh, I went and knocked on the neighbour's door and hopefully he feels really lousy for ruining my sleep.
I put it all down to pumphead.
