One mostly for the ladies (but an informed answer would also be more than welcome). Does warfarin interact with artificial tanning products?

Yesterday for the first time in my life I used such a product, it is a very reputable brand and the bottle said that after three or four days of use (a body lotion) a natural looking light tan would develop. I used it once, on my legs only (thank goodness) and they have turned deep orange and a bit streaky where I must have missed some.

So what I am wondering is if being on warfarin speeds up the process

Sue, that has not been my experience. I use the "faux tan" stuff a lot and haven't had that problem.

This is Diana (no warfarin here), not Mike---but this blue-eyed, fair-skinned lady had exactly that result--over MUCH more of the body---to the great amusement of the older brother who predicted the "tan" I would have.

It "grows out" soon---use lots of mositurizer and a loofa or the like in the shower.

And smile---it will keep their eyes off your "tan"!

No reason why warfarin should interfere. Most likely just your skin chemistry.
