I just saw on the news there was shooting in a small Amish School they only have 27 students grade 1-8 and right now there are 5 dead 9not sure if they are all student, one was the killer) i can't imagine for a small tight knit community it must be just devistating since most of there children probably were there, Lyn

I am just not sure what is happening out there. Our schools should be havens and now they have become targets.

actually it was a grown adult man(something about a taxi driver) and I just heard on CNN a man walked into the amish school, told the boys to leave and lined up the girls and shot them all how awful i can't imagine

This is sooooo upsetting on so many levels. I managed to keep my 9 year old away from the news of the Colorado shooting but she got wind of this yesterday. And it's HERE. It's our community. My coworker lives down the road from the shooter, and near the school. He had been upset last week because an Amish boy was hit by a car and killed right in front of my coworkers house. That poor community! Last night I had to go to another part of Lancaster County and I felt a strange sense of guilt among the Amish farms and people. I really don't know how I'm going to make my daughter feel safe. I don't know how I'M going to trust her safety. I've been thinking about and praying for of all those children at that school, and their families.
