My favorite cousin, who lives in the Houston, Texas, area, is undergoing tests for what doctors believe is cancer. Near or on the liver. She's had 2 CT scans; last radiologist says he believes the mass is malignant. She'll see one, maybe two GI docs this next week.

My cousin is 51, has an 18YO son who was born with multiple birth defects (visual, hearing, bilateral cleft palate, some mental retardation, 1 kidney removed @ 1 week of age, some heart defects but I'm not sure exactly what). She has made her son's life much more rounded than it would be otherwise -- he's in Special Olympics, goes to residential camps, etc.
I have admired her dedication to her son very much. God knew her son would be in good hands with her as his mom.
As expected, she's quite shaken right now.

She's like a sister to my two sisters and me and another daughter to my parents.

My family would appreciate prayers for Donna.

Marsha,

You have my prayers. I am learning a lot these days about God's plans and how they sometimes seem a little questionable.

I still feel strongly that He has a plan for us even tho, especially at such times as your family has now, it is difficult to understand.

I will pray that his plans include no cancer for your cousin so she can fully continue her wonderful life of caring.

Best wishes and hugs.

Oh, Marsha..............

Oh, Marsha..............

I'm so sorry to hear this. You can count on our prayers, too. Please keep us posted. Sending hugs. Janet

I will!

I will!

Hi Marsha, you can be sure that I'll be praying for your cousin every day from now on. Keep us posted on what happens next. Is she aware of what's going on? God bless you all!
