Prayers needed for my new grandson

My 9th grandchild was born Saturday. The 2nd grandson. He appeared to be fine at birth 8 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. Shortly after birth he stopped breathing. They were able to clear his lungs and he turned pink again. Since then he has stopped breathing numerous times. After lots of tests,they dropped a light down his throat at 21 hours of age, they determined he has acid reflux and his EKG showed hes at a high risk for SIDS. HE has been in the NICU since Saturday afternoon. His mom is going home this afternoon. Of course she'll be at he hospital as much as they allow her. Please say a prayer for Tommy Lee and his mom,dad,sister and brother.

Well, if someone pushed a light down my throat even at 52 years old, I think I'd get acid reflux, too.

I'm so sorry to hear that your grandson is going through all this, and the worry that you and your family must be going through. You will surely be in my thoughts.

Prayers for your family!

You have my prayers. I know first hand how scary it can be when your new born has problems. The very first time I saw my older son he was gray, on his side and had two nurses rubbing him. He had a lot of problems at birth for reasons that almost nine years later I still don't know. It's amazing what the doctors are able to do to save these precious little babies. The babies themselves are amazing! They can be so strong and stubborn! I will be prayer for all of you. GOD bless you all!

Thank you so much for the prayers. Moms blood pressure has suddenly shot up and it looks like she won't be going home today. She is stressing so much right now and she just had a baby 48 hours ago. I won't so much to do something to make everything better. It's hard when your kids become adults and you can't fix the boo boos anymore. The father is my son but I love my daughter-in-law like shes my daughter.

Mom and Tommy Lee came home today. Tommy has to wear a heart monitor for 6 months. If his heart rate goes up or down too much or if he stops breathing for more than 20 seconds an alarm will sound. Someone will come to the house once every 2 weeks to collect the data and the cardiologist will read it. He has an appt. in 2 weeks with the cardiologist. He did turn blue around the mouth and hands and feet today. Mommy moved him around and he pinked up again. This is so scary for all of us. I can't imagine how my daughter-in-law will cope when my son goes back to work tomorrow. We all work and will help out on the weekends. Please keep praying for us.
