My wife's supervisor's father is in the University of Kentucky Medical Center ER; has been in the ER since yesterday. He recently had a heart attack and was told that he had a tear in his aortic valve. He has a tissue valve from a previous AVR 15 years ago. Now his blood pressure has skyrocketed and they're telling him it's because of his valve. Duh!! He hasn't even seen a doctor...of any kind. We've encourage her to get him out of there and to a better hospital (Central Baptist in Lexington). He's apparently in grave danger and sounds like he needs emergency surgery to me.

Anyway, please pray for him. Don't know his name, but Angie his daughter needs prayer too for strength and wisdom. Thank you much.

Mr. Cornish has been admitted at Univ. of KY Med Center and will be undergoing surgery anytime now; valve replacement, triple bypass, and something else. His daughter doesn't have much hope right now. Thanks for praying for them.

Angie and her father have mine too Wise!!

Angie and her father have mine too Wise!!

Here's hoping that he gets the immediate attention that he needs and that the big "G" will be watching over him and helping him and his daughter get through this with speed and grace...Prayers and hugs to yall! Harrybaby:eek:

From a third party:This afternoon before they were supposed to do surgery on Mr. Cornish they told him that due to him having a rare blood type they were going to take him off of plavix now and do his surgery next Wednesday. I thought this was an emergency surgery.

Oh, well, I'm still praying for him. Thanks for those praying for him, I believe he still needs them.

Just curious. Does it make sense that his aortic regurgitation could be so bad as to cause a massive heart attack? That's what he was told yesterday.

Goodness, Wise, that's a terrible situation, heart attack and aortic tear. I will sure keep Mr. Cornish in my prayers. Please continue to update us on his condition.

Update

I just got an update about Mr. Cornish. He just had surgery this week, I believe at Central Baptist in Lexington. He now has new mechanical aortic & mitral valves. He also had a double bypass and had a stent put in (for what don't know). He's still in ICU because of a bleeding issue...that's all I know.

His daughter, my wife's supervisor, says over all he is doing well and they are very pleased.

So, thanks for your prayers for him back in the summer. Looks like they were answered.
