BAVRick

I cant help but read the posts in this section and get emotional because I find it very loving of the differing spouses to dedicate extensive time and effort on behalf of their spouses. In my own case, my diagnosis of BAV and that I will need surgery actually worsened problems in my relation with my wife to the point that we are divorcing. She never researched anything and instead used the opportunity of my illness and time at the hospitals to rob me of financial information which she later utilized in the divorce proceedings to establish a large settlement. I hope that despite my severe heart issues and inevitable surgery I still will find someone in my future to share my life with. It's been a tough year and I cannot help but think of how lucky your spouses are to be married to someone who really cares about them as people and is willing to go through all this with them.

Rick,Welcome!
Anyone as obviously sensitive and caring as you are will find another soul mate to share your life with. In the meantime, you have found a great family here to support and console you. Please let us know how you are doing and let us help in any way we can.

Rick, Welcome to VR. I'm sorry to read about the marital problems on top of your BAV issue. I don't know your full situation, but I suspect that your marriage was probably going to fail anyway even if you didn't have the additional stress placed on it by your heart condition. Please know that you have friends and supportive people here on VR. Post oftern and let us now how you're doing.

Rick - from one divorcee to another - you will make it. It's hard but you will.

Yes, I have stated here in VR how nice it is to hear spouses speak lovingly of their mate. I have to admire them all. But for those of us who don't have a spouse, we still have great lives, too.

After a time I was able to come up with something that has carried me for years - it is below, beneath my name. I have used that and spread it to others who might be unhappy. It really does work.

Welcome to VR. We are here to support those heart folks who walk into our home. Glad to see you.

It makes me very sad to hear of your problems, Rick. It's hard enough to go on in life with serious heart issues, and additional problems are more than you should have to deal with.

But there will be someone for you in the future, I just know it. Loving relationships are not defined by health issues or other problems in life, they are enhanced by two people uniting against a difficult problem and a good solution for it. Love transcends those kinds of things.

I wish you peace, tranquility and strength through your difficult times.

Thank you, Ann. Those of us who've never had a spouse, let alone a girlfriend, DO have great lives. It'd be nice of society recognized that.

Rick ... very sorry you have to deal with this as well. Good luck to you ... and thoughts/prayers are coming your way.

Hi Rick... sorry to hear about your situation, but I hope life will now offer you the opportunity to find someone much more caring and supportive. In the meantime, you'll find plenty of caring people here to lend you their ears and their shoulders.
