WARNING TO THOSE WAITING SURGERY AND TO THOSE WHO WOULD RATHER FORGET-----GRAPHIC PICTURES    :D :D :D

While downloading the Magnolia pictures I found out that my Wife had taken several pictures of me in ICU just after my OHS  (see I told you that modesty quickly goes out the window in a hospital). The breathing tube is gone thank goodness :D :D :D . The big tube going between my legs is not my catheter thank God   :D :D . It is a portable air conditioner hose keeping me cool (as if I'm not already cool enough) :D .

I hope by the grace of God I'm not in one of these beds again for a long time, although the experience was not as bad as I had expected.

Enjoy if you can. I'm sorry about the slight out-of-focus but the wife was trying to take the picture and stay out of the way at the same time. I don't even remember her taking the picture (as if there was anything I could do to stop her :D ). At least none of my actual OHS has shown up on EBay  :D .

May God Bless,

Danny

One wasn't enough????????

I think the look on my face is a classic poster for "what was the name of that Truck'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

See Mary, the tube is going to an air conditioner. However, the wife said (yes she did) to tell everyone they had a HARD time finding a tube to fit :D :D . Don't you just love her!!!!!!! Wait a minute HOW DID SHE MEAN THAT???????

May God Bless,

Danny

Ok Danny.

I called my husband over to look at your pictures. I think that the tube is just hooked up to "SOMETHING" under your covers and they added the unit to make it seem legit! :p

But Bob's question is, "Did you have a fever?" He says the blanket to the left of your head is one that can be warmed or cooled, and maybe the tube is hooked to it.

Otherwise, he didn't know what the heck it was for. We don't use those kind of things in Missouri :p :p It must be a Southern Thing! :D :D :D

You would not have wanted to see everything surrounding me! Yours look like step down pics compared to the variety of nasty stuff they encircled me with. :(

Is that large tube to provide automatic compressions for your legs or maybe to provide some sort of air compression for the mattress to give your body even pressure points? It does look as if it has a compressor unit with it.

I know that Joe had the automatic leg compression thingies on after at least one of his surgeries, and I had some sort of blow-up leg thingies after my surgery. They were noisy, at least mine were and were portable with a compression unit.
