It's 11 weeks tomorrow since my Ross Procedure. I saw my cardio this afternoon and he's happy with everything. BP good - 110/70. ECG fine. Heartbeat fine. Everybody happy:eek:
Both he and my surgeon want me to have an echo in August, which will be six months post-surgery.
I told my cardio I'm feeling good most of the time but sometimes a little dizzy (low BP) and sometimes tired and sometimes I can really feel/hear my heart pounding. All to be expected, he said, and suggested I halve my BP medication (Avapro) if the light-headed moments get annoying. Otherwise, he said it'll be a couple more months 'til I feel back to how I was, and then much better... YAY!
:biggrin2:
Have a good day everybody!

Great news, Allison! I'm glad you're mending so well - it bodes well for the rest of us in the Class of 2011 to have a standard bearer.

I go for my check-up at 11 weeks next Wednesday, hoping for a similar report.

Keep up the great work!

I am so happy to hear that you are progressing so well, Allison. I feel I am a little slow in that direction but it is coming along. Thanks for your update. It gives me positive energy to hear the good news. I see my surgeon on the 24th and I hope I am alot better by then.

This is great to hear, Allison. I am a few weeks behind you in schedule, but I don't have another visit with a cardio until my 6 month time. It is great to hear of your positive experiences!
