One more time..Is anyone else having it as bad as we are? I realize I live in a forest..and we have many type trees....And it is just beautiful..Green everywhere...but, I can rinse the cars off and 1 hour later they are covered again. Hubby and I have both had headaches today...Hubby NEVER has one...1,020 count today.(Pollen)...The good/bad news..Rain heading our way this weekend with low temps in mornings.Just hope NOT too low..Hubby has planted many annuals. Rufus, my black/ yellow cat..is still sneezing.Impossible to keephim in all day. Lays on the porch..but, just brought him in........News is now talking about Lance Armstrong . He started his bike race today in Georgia and suppose to pass near my house this weekend. He will make his big move...when he gets up here in the Mountains..Wonder what the rain will do to the race? Saw him last year..will try to see him Sat...(Living here, I know the backroads and can find a good site... :D The helicopers flying overhead gives us a warning about how near they are (bikers)...Even last year, he was pretty far back..but, holds out for the final few miles. :D Since, he is retiring..will try to snap a pic...Bonnie

Bonnie,
Haley is suffering something fierce with it!
I remember this time last year when Lance passed by you all. I was just getting to know you, and thought what a wonderful life you led if Lance Armstrong rode down your road (thought he was on a jaunt!)

It's awful..Just finished dinner and John is wheezing, coughing, snorting :D I told him..tomorrow, just go inside his workshop and do a project. STAY out from outside. Atlanta says the rain should start by Friday. :) Maybe it will wash a lot away. :) I think, we had lots of rain in March..and really kick-started the trees, ect. Now, a week without rain. .....Oh, well, I guess next week..things will be better. :) Bonnie

Its bad

Its bad

here in the gulf, and sea poop too, :p (pollution in the gulfwaters, when it mists , ugh on your windsheild, I call it sea poop :D )I rarely leave the house so allergies arent bad, hope you have relief soon, love the pup

Even though I'm allergic to them, trees bother me only a little. My time is coming soon (spring and fall for me) with the weeds and fungus we get here in Florida. Will

I don't have allergies, but sometimes it can get so dense in the air, it becomes a plain irritant. This year has been awful. I had a headache all last week, but that wasn't the clincher.

Woke up this morning, turned my head to the side, and it was like going on a carnival ride. Room was spinning. I'm thinking stroke...

Then I realized it had to do with moving my head. Looked up labyrinthitis, and it was a dead match. Most of the morning, any time I moved my head too fast or at the wrong angle, I wound up with my face in the chum bucket. Bumping into walls, unexpected bouts of dizziness-induced nausea. Like being drunk without any of the good parts. :(

I finally got in to the doctor at 11:20. He said there didn't seem to be an infection, but it looked like fluid pressure from my angered sinuses had played a part in it. So, I will be taking (get ready, Ross) 12-hour Sudafed for a week. Also, he said don't drive. I said, "Um, yeah, sure...no problem." How did he think I got there?

So much for the joys of spring. Although the yard is replete with midseason daffodils, rock garden tulips (the only ones the deer don't eat, like Tarda, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.), brilliant forsythia, and the immense and gorgeous magnolia that is probably responsible for my headache.

There's a huge, red-headed woodpecker out on the lawn, feasting on ants.

Not a bad view to share, so long as I don't move... ;)

Best wishes,

Benadryl is a pretty effective antihistamine and apparantly is one of the very few drugs that doesn't interact with Warfarin/Coumadin. Makes a lot of folks drowsy, though.

Lotsa cottonwoods, sagebrush, and rabbitbrush where I am, pollen count typically goes through the roof each year but it hasn't started yet. Thankfully, I don't seem to be allergic to it.

I'm wondering about people with lung problems?Even tho, today, was clear as a bell. I could see the Mountains in the distance coated with a haze. Had to be pollen...NO..problems other than headache and sand in my eyes. I remember years ago, my Aunt lived in Birmingham, Ala..where the steel mills are..and whenever I visited..she always had a coat of fine, black slute. On her porch... Needless to say, my Uncle died at an early age from working in the mills. I refuse to go outside tomorrow..until the rains come and wash this crud away. Bonnie

It is the season for allergies for everyone. Even in the city, we are not immune to pollen. We have grass and trees all over. I had to take medicine last nite to be able to breathe. We had a good day today. But it won't last. I have problems in the spring, summer and fall.

10 year old granddaughter never had problems with pollen until this year. Shes been to the doctor twice, had numerous nose bleeds and we thought she had pink eye last week but it was the pollen. We also live in Georgia but in the country not the mountains. The guy that comes to my job to wash cars isn't making make much right now, why bother, the pollen is back within an hour like Granbonny said.

Tell me about it. First the pine trees, then my 25 plus pecan trees, along with the oak and others, grass, etc. And of course don't forget this is now planting season, so the farmers are kicking up dust and God knows what else. My red truck is now green (and will stay that way for a while--no use washing). What's a guy gotta do.

terryj,

Where in GA are you located (if you are willing to share)? I promise I won't come avisiting (where are my Truck Keys????) :D :D . I'm Middle GA, just South of Columbus. Know Bonnie is "Up North" above "Etlanna" in the "Mountains". Of course she will be in surburbs of Etlanna soon (if not already).

Sneeze -- Blow Nose.

May God Bless,

Danny

Danny,
I live in Coweta County, near Newnan. We have lived here about 20 years.
We have 6 acres and we were about the only ones on our street until about 5 years ago. Now the subdivisions are going up all around us. I guess when we retire in about 5 years we'll sell and move out further. My oldest son moved to Tennesse in the mountains about 3 years ago and they love it there.

When we married in 1966..Atlanta ended a few miles north....Now, there's not a spot of land..between there and Gaineville, Ga.All stores, malls, ect. I don't think that will happen at our County line. these Mountain folks are hard to sell their land. Been in the family for many generations.Once in awhile a developor will get lucky and buy a huge plot..Cut a road to the top and sell lots. Many laws being changed now to keep our Mountain ranges from being cleared.Nothing uglier than look at a beautiful ridge and see a house sitting up there. Bonnie
